Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl

 We wanted the music to have all the excitement of a blockbuster action movie, but at the same time ensure the score is  quirky and eccentric to reflect the characters of the hopeless Wallace and his long suffering pooch. So everything is a bit twisted… one minute you think you are in a genuine action movie, and then the next everything is turned upside down with something that’s musically ridiculous.   Our job was to help highlight and enhance everything that is completely bonkers in the world of Wallace and Gromit! Even so, the music always takes the jeopardy seriously. We loved playing on the absurdity of giving serious music to the animated characters as if they are real people in real jeopardy – a deliberate mismatch we feel adds to the comedy. Feathers McGraw is given music that is as dark and nasty as anything that could have been put with the most evil character in a live action movie, even though we are looking at a little plasticine penguin on the screen.
